Joe Depaolo

Joe has been drumming for over 30 years. His early studies were with Sam Ulano and Joe Cusatis. He also studied at the renowned Drummers Collective in New York City. Throughout his career Joe has played in rock, jazz, jazz/rock fusion, disco, funk, Zydeco, Cajun and country bands. He has also played in a fife and drum marching band. In addition he plays other percussive instruments including bodhran, doumbek, spoons and the box cajon drum. Joe is currently playing in numerous contra dance bands. His eclectic past has influenced his current style of playing and can be heard throughout the jigs and reels that are predominant in the contra dance music of today
